Our Philosophy

Omoiyari
(Compassion)

We truly believe in the old maxim of walking a mile in another person’s shoes. We believe in raising people up, not bringing them down. Filling their cups and passing it on. We truly care about our consumers and the world that we live in. Our nurturing personality is present at all touchpoints, building trust and brand loyalty. We empower women, support artisans, and take a stand for what we believe in. Our mission extends beyond our shoes and into the steps that others will take in them. We provide relief to struggling soles (and souls).

Ikigai
(Reason to Live)

You could say that we’re on a mission to create happy feet. But it’s more than that. We have seen how having a purpose can fill up your life and bring you joy. From our founder’s commitment to empowering others to our artisans’ traditions of honing their crafts, we want to encourage everyone to find their ikigai. Our acts of care are passed on, creating a chain of kindness and awareness for wellbeing and prevention. When everyone is working to better themselves and the world we live in, we all can find more meaning in our everyday lives – together. Like our feet, we need alignment and support to live fulfilling and healthy lives.

Mottainai
(Waste Less)

We only create and design what hasn’t been done before – so we’re not filling our world with more excess. Starting with logic, we solve a problem that many women are facing, and our designs are backed by research and experience. We use only the highest quality materials, sourced carefully from the best suppliers we could find. Our designs are made to last. And, we take the time to educate our consumer in order to help them take care, while making strides in their lives.
